2023 Starforged Game Jam Entry – Anthos George – Path: The Phthisis Paradox 

Flavor Text: 

Ziv: “Remember when we were on the Dalmarin job? You tripped and we both saw the bridge crumble into specs of copper. That’s not normal Kaelar!”

Kaelar: “Ziv. I understand you’re stressed but we both know that wasn’t my fault.”

Ziv: “All I’m saying is this: Maybe the Protean Oracle was right about you.”

 Information:

The Phthisis Paradox is a Path Asset. I rolled (2) Theme: (4) Decay (10) World Truth. I decided to make an Asset based around Decay that adds to the World Truth in some way. I like the thematic resonance of Playbooks in PbtA games and I sometimes try to make flavour assets to base a Starforged playthrough around, so I made this in a kind of Playbook-style mould. Maybe this can be a different kind of asset, like an ‘Origin’ or something? I hope you enjoy.
